Posting to forum?

Just joined and am an RV newby. I have a 2016 Jayco Grayhawk that had the bedroom slide unable to extend. Exposed the motor and tested to see if there was power to the motor and did not get a read. Went to check the fuse box and discovered that in the retracted position the fuse box is inaccessible as the slide is pushed up to the bedbase and blocking the fuse box. Was unable to locate the manual slide crank and was forced to bring it in to the nearest service center. They were able to jump the motor and got the slide to extend. Problem was blown fuse and faulty switch. I was then told that there was no manual crank for my unit which was quite hard to believe. So if I get stuck in the future I know how to jump the motor but what if the motor is bad? Carry a spare motor? Has anyone else experienced this situation? Thank you in advance for any help with this!

You need to post this is the "Class C" forum to get more answers. With that said the motor is usually where the manual operation would be, normally using a socket wrench. A pic of the motor assembly would help too.

I would suggest that you start new discussion thread in the Class C section of the forum and ask your question there.

Please follow this link to the Class C Section and then click on the "New Thread" button on the left side of the screen.
