Hi all..I currently own a new Eagle Ht fiver. Recently purchased a new Progressive 50 amp surge protector. All works well but I cannot use the Progressive clear weather enclosure over the plug-in because the Jayco 50 amp handle on the plug makes it too deep to fully close. Has anyone experienced this problem, and does anyone have any kind of resolution they can share to make this connection weatherproof? Thanks

Sometimes I slip a plastic bag over the pedestal, covering the whole setup. I have seen all manner of home grown McGiver rigs to keep it from getting wet.

Just make sure to secure it with a lock.

I just plug my 50amp cord into the surge protector and make sure the door hinge is facing up so you will not get any water running into it. If it is laying on the ground then I would suggest putting a plastic bag around it.

Whammom, I will offer this. I leave my rig plugged in year round and the only thing I will say is, DO NOT HANG IT UPSIDE DOWN !!! It is weather proofed from the factory and the factory states that you are not to hang it upside down. Learned that the hard way. Replaced one and hung the new one correctly. Stupidity is expensive!! SKIDAWG
