I recently purchased a 2011 Jayco Jay Sport (8'ft) and I have a couple of questions.

What size lug nuts are on this trailer? The lug wrench in my tow vehicle is to small and I need to get a lug wrench that will work.

Also when I hook the camper to my 2014 Dodge Journey the hitch jack will not retract high enough to remove the wheel. Any idea how to solve this issue?

not for sure on either question ... I would assume lug nuts are 3/4 inch and as far as the tongue jack how low is the front sitting when attached to your tow vehicle that the wheel wont come off

When resting on the car the ball is 15 inches up from the ground, when raised to 16 inches the wheel can be removed.

The camper is titled slightly when resting on the hitch.

well I believe the easiest thing to do would be get a hitch mount with a 1 inch higher rise to it .... is it a wdh hitch

For the lugs, just get a 4 head X wrench. Will cover anything you have.

Our 1007 had the same problem. I used to carry around a car jack stand. Lift the tongue, drop frame down on the jack stand, lift the tongue jack up and pull the wheel, tongue jack back down to the ground (wood block under) to lift the frame off the jack stand, then drop tongue onto the hitch.

That got really old really fast, so I bought a lower profile foot instead. We never really liked the wheel anyway as it tended to sink into soft ground. Can't figure out how Jayco could get the geometry so wrong. And yes, the hitch was at the correct height to tow the pup level; no WD required for such a lightweight trailer - the OP's 8' Sport is considerably lighter than the 10' 1007.
