Hi,

I have a 2017 White Hawk 28DSBH. The rear steps for the bathroom entrance are the same as the steps at the main entrance - both are triple stairs, and both hang low. Not an issue for the front ones, but on the rear, they can get really low to the ground given how far back they are from the axles.

The 2016 and earlier used a double step that when folded, doesn't appear to hang any lower than the retracted rear stabilizer.

I was going up a fire road on the weekend and murphy's law struck and I bent the rear steps crossing a rutted out washout. I was able to straighten them, and since removed them for clearance and will re-install next time I use it.

It seems silly to me that they changed this and would allow the rear steps to hang as low as they do - I've even tagged them on city streets.

I am going to replace them with a double. Is there anything unique I need to know about or can I just buy aftermarket steps that will bolt right in?

I agree this is a pain. We often cannot use the back steps unless we were to put a few inches under the tires due to front to back site grade being sloped slightly
