Phewwwww, 2100 miles roundtrip. OBX NC to Missouri and back. Loved trip but honestly the roads on return trip in Indiana and Ohio were absolutly horrible. Potholes and rough roads were something, so bad in fact the sliding door to bedroom actually came off, I mean literally pulled the hanging brackets loose from the ceiling. A project no doubt. Are there improvements that can be made to minimize this rough ride other than avoid the roads in these 2 states? :)

Have you adjusted the tire pressure based on your scaled weight? Made a huge difference for both my 01 Designer "C" and our 08 Seneca.

If going over roads I have not traveled before I take the time using Google map street view to look at roads. The street view may be a view years old but it gives me an idea of what they are like. Sometimes you do not have a choice but I have found alternate routes that have better roads and maybe better views.

It would be hard to know where the potholes are if you've never or rarely travel on those roads. I would take it slow and try to dodge them where possible.

Stay off the interstate and use US & State Highways, usually they are much better. Enjoy the ride.

I live in Ohio and I do agree some of the roads are terrible. I fortunately live in the S.W. where I think the Interstates and main roadways are the best in the state. In February our trip to Florida was great .Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, George, Florida interstates were in the best shape that I can remember in years.
