Refrigerator not cooling

If it's an absorption fridge, it will probably take a day or 2. feel the back of the freezer, it should be a little cool at this point.

The control panel on mine was bad from day one. It would only run on propane but not AC power.

A dealer replaced the control panel and it has worked fine ever since. Of course it was at the dealership for a month waiting parts.

These fridges do take a minimum of 8 hours to cool off. Maybe longer in hot weather. I sometimes turn mine on (propane) at the start of the journey to give it a head start. Otherwise, food stays in the ice chest until day two.

Just for reference. I believe that the refrigerator must be level within 3 degrees. So, if you have a 30’ RV, the difference from front to back would be 18” for 3 degrees. And 12” for 2 degrees.
Very unlikely to be the problem. Especially since it’s not an immediate not running thing.

What is the temp set to?

The setting on the controls is a time function, not necessarily a temperature function. What is the position of the thermistor on the aluminum fin in the back of the refrigerator? It must be clipped on to the fin. Higher and lower on the fin adjusts if the unit will run a timed function on the control panel.

Moving it higher will make the unit colder....lower warmer. If its already beyond mid point its could be bad.

One thing I have noticed with my Norcold is the temperature sensor can go bad. It should be attached to one of the fins inside the frig. You can test it by unplugging it and see if the frig gets cold. A new one is very cheap on Amazon. Just remember the sensor stops the cooling at a certain temp so without it will keep going.
