Spent the last two days making the ~1100 mile tow from Seattle down to Kanab, UT for some volunteer work. Headed east on I-84 just out of Huntington, OR headed into Idaho on Saturday afternoon came across an EVO camper flipped on its side facing the wrong direction. Looks like the left rear bumper of the truck is smashed in pretty good so the trailer must have whipped around on them. It was quite windy which may or may not have played a role in things. It looks like everyone was OK but thought it would be a good reminder to make sure you are properly loaded (and not overloaded) and properly balanced.
Also, I've attached 3 additional screen shots I pulled off the dash cam this evening. This is why I have the dash cam - note the idiot in the white van almost cuts me off and forces the car in the oncoming lane off onto the shoulder. I saw the BLIS indicator on the left mirror come on and saw him beside me which allowed me to start slowing down and moving slightly to the right in anticipation of being cut off. He didn't disappoint - and immediately shot out and around the camper ahead of me as soon as the oncoming car passed.
Safe travels everyone - and happy camping!
