Replace kitchen counter

Shortly before closing up last Oct. in NC, dumb me let kitchen sink (read gray tank) overflow and soak the counter. Medical issue and CG closing prevented repair at the time. Warping before we departed.


Will need to replace this Spring. Anyone know if counter top can be had thru a Jayco Parts Source? Or is this likely to be a handyman (not me) project via Lowes or HD material? While at it, wife wants to upgrade the sink. Any ideas?

Find a local cabinet shop or handyman who is familiar with making counter tops. You'll get what DW wants. JAYCO would have to special order it from their supplier through your dealer and besides the time delay it would probably be very expensive.

I would remove the counter top and bring it to a shop where they could make one to match. Good time to upgrade to solid surfaces as well.

I replaced mine with one from Home Depot. Cut to length, but the hole for the sink and popped it together. If you don't have the desire/tools/whatever, any cabinet/countertop shop, as mentioned, can do it for you.

I would guess that just about any retired carpenter that's hanging out on Nextdoor, Thumbtack, or are at the Thursday morning dinette gathering near you could fix you up very fairly. They're just about everywhere.

I agree with all of the above. It's not too hard to make a Jayco "better than new" and a good time to customize that counter to exactly what you want. Good luck!

I actually replaced the sink, faucet, counter and cooktop all in one fell swoop. I used butcher block and kitchen faucet from home depot, ordered the sink amazon and the cooktop is from greystone on etrailer.com.

I used the cutout for the sink to replace the cutting board that came with the sink. The pic is prior to staining the cutting board.
