Has anyone ever replaced the AC blower motor with a dc motor in their RV microwave? Reason is better speed control.
Our microwave has a 2 speed exhaust fan. High which is incredibly noisy and Low which is unbelievably noisy. There are times that we wish to run the exhaust fan by itself but don't because of the noise. I have used pwm controllers for several DC motors in my trailers. I didn't know they were available for AC motors. I'll have to find out what the exhaust motor in the microwave is.You might be able to fit a speed controller to your existing motor depending on the motor type. I installed larger fan and added a speed controller on our electric fireplace.
Again, check your motor type. If you're comfortable working with electricity, this may work-
