What a great idea to use the quick connects. My next mini mod for sure! Thanks for the suggestion!I had to have a city water inlet replaced under warranty. Found the big plastic screw collars are a real pain. Now I use a brass 90 degree elbow with a quick connect attached. I spin the elbow into the plastic screw collar, give it a snug tweak, attach the water hose with the quick connect and it's all set. One for city water, one for black tank rinse. It's really quick, easy and, perhaps best of all, does not require turning the awkward and kind of iffy plastic screw collar on the trailer. Caveat: must always be aware of weight placed on the water fill collar. My assembly includes a 6" or so short piece of hose, with water filter attached, cutoff valve, quick connect. Then a foot or two of the end of the main water hose all supported by the intake collar. So far no problems.
That looks good. Everyone has had some good suggestions. Not sure exactly what type you have, but this is what i bought for my last 2 rigs. Well made and all metal. Usually very simple to replace.
Nice idea. I've been using a quick connect on my black tank rinse fitting for a couple of years, mostly so I could have a valve on it. Thanks!I had to have a city water inlet replaced under warranty.
