The landing gear on my 2008 Designer 31RLTS have failed and I need to replace them. The parts from Jayco are no longer available and the lippert parts they cross reference as replacements don't seem to have the correct dimensions.

Does anyone have experience with replacement of the landing gear and what they used as replacement parts?

Welcome to the forum.
Since you didn’t say, exactly what is wrong with it, but mentioned parts, did you contact Lippert and ask for help? I would send them a message through “Contact” in their website, give them catalog numbers and exactly what is wrong. Pictures of the unit and labels would be appropriate as well.
If it’s a hydraulic issue, find a hydraulic repair shop.
Best wishes, Kevin

I replaced a few of mine and got them thru etrailer, measure the body of jack that accepts the extendable leg end that should get you close to the length you need and measure the diameter itself, trailer should have it.

I read and researched and ordered a set from Amazon. when they came in, there was a difference in the extended length but the body were the same dimensions. I returned the order and re-ordered another set from etrailer. When they came in they were identical to the amazon order but both suppliers said they were replacements for what I removed.

Long story short, I installed the etrailer order and they worked perfectly. I am sure the Amazon supplied ones would have worked also. The etrailer set came with both sides, and a new gearbox. Both had zerk fittings at the top to lube the rods. I ran mine out before installation and applied lots of axle grease to the rods with a home made tool.

Used them 3 or 4 trips since and they work great.

The passenger front landing leg on my Pinnacle failed last year, and it's a horror show to get to (the generator box and battery box prevent easy access, and even if they didn't, you'd have to crawl through from the propane door on the driver's side and work in a really cramped location). It was worth paying the local RV shop to deal with it--they ended up taking the front of the RV apart to get access.
