Our 2021 Jay Flight's decals are curling and disintegrating. I called Jayco. They said I have to buy them from a dealer. The dealer said they are sold as a set. The price is absolutely ridiculous. Are there any other ways to get the decals?
:campfire:

Did you find a solution for this? Our 2018 Flight's front cap decals are horribly cracked. I haven't found a matching set online but similar sets are running almost $400. At that price, I'd rather remove the decals and not replace them.

No I have not. I've been removing the damaged ones with a heat gun. At least half of them on the trailer, including the big jay bird on the cap, are disintegrating. I guess I will remove them as needed and consider solutions. We have a lot of priorities way ahead of the decals. On our needs, wants, and desires list, trailer decals are a low priority desire. They will wait and maybe never be replaced.

BTW, ours are the poorest quality that we have ever had on an RV. Jayco/Thor definitely went cheapo cruddy with them. It's another thing to consider when RV shopping, "How will this trailer look without its graphics?".

Replacing decals

I have a 2021 Greyhawk and am running into the same problem. I have 3 damaged decals on the rear side. Dealer wants $59 for one, $900(set) for another and $700(set) for another. All the decals are the similar style and size.

Same thing happen to my 2021 Jayco. The side decals started bubbling and curling. I just took them off.

My front one is also coming apart. If I remove it will there be damage under it that I will have to cover up or is it ok to just clean and wax it once gone. Not very decorative on my 2017, just black and white bird/Jayco sign.

Jayco is like a lot of businesses and reminds me of a large equipment dealer I was visiting. A salesman was telling a customer who was taking delivery of a half million dollar tractor that a hat was $14.95. The owner overheard this, ran out and gave them a hat and jacket each. Smart guy! Jeep wouldn't even through in a cap when I got my new Grand Cherokee!

I replaced all of mine on are last fifth wheel 291 rls cougar I got most of the decals off amazon and a few off ebay total for all the decals was around 300

If you don't mind advertising the brand, you can buy them pre-made on Amazon or other suppliers.

So how does yours look without the decals you removed? I would rather remove and not replace but not sure what that will look like.

I tried searching on amazon with :jayco decal" Jayco stickers: and a few others and never found more than one picture of a Jayco bird decal,

So what search term brings up the decals??

IDK. It's a matter of personal preference.

In their deteriorated state, the decals look terrible. When they were new, I liked them well-enough. We will not spend the exorbitant amount Jayco wants for the replacements. They would disintegrate again anyway. We don't have the money to burn on custom work. The cheaper decals online look goofy, and they are likely poor quality, too. If you have the money to spend on it, maybe you can get some nice painted work done. That would be my first choice.

I think the trailer will look okay, not great but acceptable. Some people cannot stand the decals. I know people who intentionally remove them. I like the "pizazz" that they add. I think the trailer will look a little bare without them, but that's what we're left with. At least our aluminum panels are attractive colors. Maybe someday, we can barter with an artist to create a cool image on the cap. That would be neat! Otherwise, she's gonna be vanilla.

I started removing some of the cracked decals on the front cap of my aluminum skin 28BHBE the other day. Even with a heat gun, it took me 20 minutes to remove a small decal and the adhesive was a pain. I tried Goo Gone and mineral spirits with no luck on the adhesive. I ended up using brake cleaner to get some of it off but it took time. Some paint came up with the decals so I have exposed aluminum for now.

I think I'm going to buy a roll of Oracle sheet vinyl and cut my own decals when (and if I can get the old ones off successfully. I doubt I will replace the Jayco and bird decals.
