Those are no where near as bright as the ones I have.. yes way cheaper but I want to be able to read under them....

Where did you find your bulbs? I am looking for some that are as bright as the original. Please help if you can.

Not sold on the LED's. Only have lost 2 bulbs, one puck and one under counter, in our 2012...replaced the under counter with a LED and not as 'warm' as the haolgens.

Not cost effective (for us) and really do not like the white light of the LED anyway and will stick with the halogens....we can buy a lot of quantity halogens for a ton less than the LED's.

Also be aware that there may be 'spikes' in your electrical that could cause problems with the LED's...use a good EMS (not juist a surge protector) like those from Progressive Industries.

I agree with you Larry. I'm not sold on LED's yet, but it is a technology that is definitely coming. I have lost only 1 of my ceiling recessed halogens in 3 1/2 years of full time use. I don't use them a lot and therefore am not too interested in replacing them with LED's. Also, mine are all on dimmers so the LED replacement must dim.

I have replaced standard bulbs with LED's in 4 other fixtures that I use all the time and I'm happy with them so far. I have an LED in my outside the door light. I leave it on at night and the original 921's would only last a couple of weeks each.

I installed LEDs in the previous TT (X23 and was impressed. I bought one to start with and could see very little difference in color or brightness so I ordered enough to replace all of them, these were replacing the #921 bulbs. We've just upgraded to the 351RLTS which is FILLED with the halogen fixtures. 16x20W and 11x10W. The 20W bulbs are T4 GY6.35 and the 10W are T3 G4 (I think). I've ordered 10 replacement LED's for the larger bulb (about $22US) and they are travelling across the Pacific from "guess where" as we speak.
They are actually G4 (4mm spacing between the pins) but are about 3000K and 300Lm so the specs are pretty close to the halogen. I've read that the pins can be bent to match up with the current bulbs (6.35mm pin spacing) which is my plan.
I'm starting with 10 replacements which will replace all the 20W bulbs in the kitchen/living area, the remaining 6 are the bedroom, bath and hallway.
If these work out I plan to replace the remaining 6 20W and all the 10W bulbs in addition to the handful of 921 bulbs (front closet and basement) with LED's in one sweep. I also plan to order enough of each to have a couple of spares.
We don't plan to do any boondocking but it's nice knowing that I'm pumping a little less heat into the TT during the warmer months (we get lots of that here in TX).
These 20W bulbs have proved tough for me to find with the issue being the pin spacing. My 2 local RV places don't seem to have them in stock and given the price of LED's from these sources I'm getting them from ebay. I did find a seller with a complete fixture for about $10US and thought about going that route initially but decided it was just too $$. I'm only into this for a little over $20 at this point and I'm willing to spend that just to see if these are good.
I'll update you when the goodies arrive and I've had a chance to compare against the existing bulbs.

My Designer came standard from Jayco with dimmers on all recessed ceiling fixtures so I don't know the brand. The cheaper LED's I have seen are not compatible with dimmers. There may be some, but I haven't seen them.

For what it is worth to answer a previous post, the 20 watt G4 halogens are available at every WalMart I have been to as well as Lowes and Home Depot.

I replaced all of the bulbs I could get to in my new Greyhawk with LED lights. The lights above the master bed I could not find suitable replacements as well as the lights above the driver's and passenger's seats in the cab. The battery is only a group 27 and doesn't last long with lights on.

Some new LED's

I got the first batch of 10 LED's and have installed 4. The original bulb was a T4 GY6.35 and was about 300lm.
The replacements are G4 (4mm pin spacing) but the color (abt 3000K) and brightness (abt 300lm) sounded great. As I stated, I had to bend the pins out a bit but with a couple small needle-nose pliers, that was easy.

I can tell very little difference in brightness or color. I've only installed 4 so far since I'd have to run the sliders out to get to the rest but so far, so good. Just ordered some more to replace the rest of the 20W and 10W Halogen bulbs and some 921 replacements.

I have about 15 of these from my previous unit that I would sell for a $1.00 each and $1.00 postage to anyone who wants G4 LED bulbs. There is an assortment of bulbs, none of which I can use in my new unit due to the LED puck lights being hardwired now. They are puck and post style ranging from 24 LED's to 36 all warm white. I kept them all thinking I was going to need replacement bulbs, but not the case as the entire housing needs to be replaced if the bulb burns out.

They aren't as bright as the 921 bulbs that I took out, but with as many light fixtures as they put in RV's these days, they are bright enough for areas that don't need really bright lights. If you have a light you like to sit under to read, you would need something brighter. Also for the kitchen and table area, I prefer a brighter light than these.
For bedroom, bathroom, hall and sitting areas, these work good for me. I spend probably 90% of my camping boondocking, so LED's are a huge asset to me.

I got most of mine in Quartzite Az then some online LED4RV is a good site but pricy. The price is coming down very fast now.. they are half of what I paid a few years ago..

I finally got around to replacing most of my coach lights with LEDs. I have to say, when I ordered them I was a little unsure if they would fit and be bright enough. The 16 halogen bulbs I have are G4 20 Watt, and I ordered G4 10W equivalent LEDs as I had a hard time finding 20W equivalents.

As it turns out these little LED pucks are easily as bright as the halogens and they match the color output almost exactly. I ordered the warm white.

They are small enough to fit the G4 light fixtures with no modification, although I did note that the pins were a little shorter than the halogen bulbs, so they could work loose over time. Mine were $7.99 each from Brightech via Amazon.
