Has anyone ever replaced the 12v toggle switches that control the lights in a Jayco travel trailer? More specifically, I'm looking to replace the toggle switches in my 32BHDS that control the main interior lights and the outright yellow porch light. The small 12v toggle switches seem very cheap to me and I'd love to swap them out with something more similar to a standard household switch. I'm sure they make 12v "house style" switches but wondering if anyone has done this in the past.

I have not, but I think it's just a normally open, single poll switch. ( assuming its a single function, 2 position switch: on/off) Any switch, including a household light switch will do the same thing.

Look for places that sell off the grid 12 volt electrical supplies for homes. You might find them there.

any house type switch will work, just dont ever use a 12v rated switch for 110v

We have a remote control in our 5th that runs the landing gear, stabilizers, sliders AND the Door Side outside lights (2). Those switches are different from the other switches. They are momentary contacts and cause a relay on the wireless control box to latch and power the lights.
My point is if you have those types of switches (they are spring loaded and return to the center position after pushing them "on" or "off") don't replace them with a regular switch.

We replaced some of our Light Switches, with the ones pictured below.

Our Factory installed Light Switches were real small, cheap and noisy, (I think the newer Pinnacle's have a nicer switch than we have in the first year model for the Pinnacle)
