So my 24FBS purchased in Sept of 2015 is leaking.

Noticed some discoloration around the bathroom skylight and dropped the bottom portion thinking it was from shower overspray.

Once into it I could see the leak is definitely from above and has thoroughly soaked the roof plywood all around the skylight.

At that point I stopped, buttoned it all up, covered the skylight area in plastic and scheduled with the dealer for inspection.

Will load up some pics after lunch.

This is the stain first noticed:

And what I found after looking deeper:

Look closely for a hairline crack in the outer skylight cover. I had the same sort of leak, and it was caused by a crack. I patched the crack, but more appeared in different spots, from stress, I guess. I replaced the outer skylight cover myself, and all is good.

My big concern at the moment is the wet plywood. From my past experience working for a contractor that wet wood would have to be successfully dried or replaced. I want to make sure the dealer doesn't seal the leak up top leaving the wet wood trapped between the roof membrane above and the foil below.

For now we have the lower skylight piece dropped and a fan blowing it's general direction.

I have seen skylight cracks that were caused by over tightening the screws that hold it down. Look around them for a small crack.

Good luck getting it fixed. I agree a good drying out is in order before repairs are made.
