We have a 2012 Jayco 154BH we bought 2 years ago. We just had in for yearly servicing and inspection at our local Jayco dealer. We were told we should have the roof replaced (no problems with the one we have so far) at a cost of $1800.
Is this a going rate for the roof and do they just recoat with a rubber sealant?
Not sure what the going rate would be.

Did they say why? You said no problems, so not leaking inside?
I think they are possible scamming you. Kind of like the guys after a hurricane.

Many posts in past regarding coating whole roof but most are from many years old campers.

I and a lot of others know that the Dicor sealant around openings can go bad in a few years. Some add more after cleaning, others, like me, remove part of the Dicor and install Etearnabond.

Call and ask why replace, specific reasons. Check for warranty.

Best to look first at some roof maintenance you tubes after going to the search bar above. Try roof sealant, roof maintenance, etearnabond and tons of posts will pop up.

Ask more questions before you commit $1,800.

Humm, sound questionable. Did they tell you why? What you will get for $1.2K? Sounds low for a new roof, based on what others have said in the past.

Seams and pentatrations need their caulking renewed periodically. Normally, you touch it up once or twice a year. After verifying their concerns, I would recommend that you apply eternabond over all the joints.
