We started looking for what may be our last tt. We seem to be gravitating towards a floorplan that Jayco doesn't offer, a 25' rear living, walk through bath, with the couch on the slide.

I'm interested in thoughts on walk through bathrooms. It's just my wife and I and it seems fine.

We are in road mode quite a bit so having the dinette available for lunch is something we desire. I don't want to run the slide out just to have lunch. I also don't want to side on anything on an unopened slide.

Also an Alliance RV model has the water pump directly under the bed on the wall between the pass through storage and the under bed storage. That seems like a very poor location.

Happy hunting.

DW just retired this year, so we are also searching four our 'forever' (ha!) trailer. DW really dislikes the WTB - she wants it in a separate room. I keep explaining that you get a bigger bath and a shorter floorplan, but have not swayed her.

She is also insistent on a good 'conversation flow" so either dinette across from sofa or L-shaped seating area. She wants to keep it around 25' but everything I have found that ticks all the boxes is right around 30' and right at the towing limit of our Titan. So a new TT probably means a new TV too! Hopefully this is the last round of 2-footitis for us. BTW - our latest leader (Freedom Express 27RKS) would also see us getting out of Jayco.

It is those kinds of design flaws that really bug me when trailer hunting - I might easily miss a poorly located pump like that when checking out a floorplan. That's why I really like "Josh the RV Nerd" on YouTube - he does tend to point out some of those shortcomings when he sees them. It's those things you miss that can be a misery for years to come. Since we have learned more with each upgrade in how we camp, I hope I know enough this time!

Good Luck Hunting!

We have the couch across from dinnette and love it but I'm not finding it in a 25' or so model.

My wife was against the wtb also. But when we actually walked through it, she was much more open to the idea.

We've watched I think every video of his. When we've gone shopping it's like deja vue. Oh, we've seen this one. I only found the water pump because of the door hardware. The solar controller and cut offs were also in that area.

One of our units was a rear bath. It was great to have the large bathroom. It also had a very ample kitchen on the campsite side. Our current trailer is a large rear kitchen. Our bath is a walk-through; it sits between the hallway and the bedroom. At first, we weren't sure if we would like it. Compared to our previous rear bath, it's quite a bit less bathroom. That said, we have adapted, and we find it sufficient for our needs. With our 29rks, we opted for the large kitchen, booth dinette, sofa, and recliners. At some point, it dawned on us that we spend most of our time in the kitchen and living area. It is a very comfortable and "livable" floorplan. It's really a matter of how you live in it when you travel.

Would we love a big bathroom, too? Yes, but that would only come with a big fiver or super long TT. We found our fit, and you will, too!

Keep us posted on your search.
