Hi all..our Jayflight is our 10th RV over a period of 40 years together. We've had Winnies, Airstreams, Kits, Shastas, Fireballs,Tiogas, Caravels and a Toyota Dolphin. The Jayco will probably be our last and so far we like it the best. I have been enjoying lurking the site and decided to join. I already solved a small problem with the trailer from this site and since we are DIYs was glad to see everyone helping each other. I love seeing the photos of everyone out and about because we won't be doing that anymore. We have reached the end of our trail. We had some high ole times and sorely miss the boondocking and dump/water chasing. Miss those days on the BLM. We spent 10 years traveling as metal detectorists and I wrote for a defunct magazine called Western and Eastern Treasures. Was hoping someday to get to Rye Patch in Nevada but traveling is rough these days. I love reading your stories and seeing the pictures. Glad to know anything I don't already know how to fix will be discussed here. I picked Budgie for the name because we have two of them on the dinette table. We love birds so getting a Jayflight just seem destined. Thanks.

Thank you. Speaking of bugs,,,we passed thru a yellow hailstorm of locusts coming up from Klamath Falls about 4 years ago. It was HORRIBLE. I was picking splats out of the grill for weeks!. Is that the bug truck in your picture? I am still learning this site.

Welcome from Bellingham, wa. and I’ve probably had 10 tents over the many years I’ve been out there. One week of solid rain traveling thru Oregon put me into a Jayco and I’ve never looked back at sleeping on the ground.

Thanks Tunce. I'm glad you got out of the rain. That's one of the things we like about the Jayco..the thick roof muffles that constant drumming of the rain. We are in Oregon on the coast so we get it Oct to May. We are and have been full timers for 40 years.

Best pics so far.. this Jay Flight had some damage in the front from a previous owner. As you can tell it is missing the waffle plate. We fixed it and everything's fine. Every rig we've ever had has been old and damaged. When we repaired and replaced everything and made them very nice we sold them. We've never lived in anything newer. Most everything we've ever had has been 60s and 70s classics. I don't like owing money on a vehicle.
