Hello everybody,
It has been awhile since I have been here. I saw this product and I wish that they had this about 12 years ago. I did a quick search and did not see this product pop up, so I figured that I would post it. It would be interesting to see how long this will last as an awning. There are a lot of possible issues of rolling it up. Granted that it is angled and may not be directly in the sun, but with a 1000 watt capability should still produce more than my 250 watt panel on my roof. Has anyone had one of these on their RV? Any good?

Lots of problems with flexible solar panels. Putting them in an awning addressed some but introduces others. Minimum bend radius, how many times it can be flexed, vulnerability to impact, adding damage from wind-generated movement, hot spots from damage.

Their website screams chinese "I just made the website for this one product" and is down to 800w with a different design than the video... not surprising.

That being said, I love the idea! One of the benefits is getting them more or less out of the way and protected when not in use and off the roof when in use (no leaking holes, no structural concerns attaching, won't burn the roof when they start to degrade and develop hotspots).

what happens when it's too windy for the awning? Or I want to leave the RV for a while and there is a chance of thunderstorms? Doesn't seem so great to me.

These two popped to my mind first. Unless there's been a breakthru while I was surfin' TikTok, the flexibles were no where near as durable as the rigid panels.
