Safety air bags on motorhome

Do Jayco Precept motorhome have safety airbags ?

I know most if not all cars or light duty trucks have crash air bags in dash or steering wheel and have some type of identification on dash however do motorhome have the crash air bags?

I have a 2022 f53 chassis with a 2023 precept 34b

Typically, no. They are not required and no one crash tests them either.

This is only partially sarcastic: Airbags are for helping you in the case of sudden stops. In most cases, your camper is the larger vehicle and won't come to that sudden of a stop. If you did, I'd be more worried about the rest of the camper behind you crashing into you from behind. Cars and light trucks are pretty solid structures. Campers are... a bit less solid.

No airbags on a class A. I’ve heard of people buying class Cs just for the airbag. Fortunately, accidents in our large IV RVs are very rare. That’s why our insurance is so cheap. I drive very carefully and count on the weight of my RV to protect me if I somebody hits me.

Come on Keven. Just because there are “some accidents of class As posted on YouTube” doesn’t mean they happen all the time. You can tell how safe a vehicle is by the cost to insure it. I pay less to insure my 80K RV than to insure my 2010 F150.

I put a lot more miles on my car than RV and thought that was more of the reason why the rates were much lower.

Airbags are for sudden stops. The bigger the vehicle, the less suddenly it stops.

That's part of it but also the accidents/mile driven averaged for all owners.
