Said farewell to our Jayco today..

After 6 yrs of great camping memories and one last Labor Day camping adventure today she left the driveway being pulled by her new owners. We've enjoyed this 165 greatly as out first travel trailer but simply put, our family out grew it (which we knew) and are now looking for a larger Jayco (hopefully) TT before next spring. Hate to see her go but know the new owners are just as excited as I was to take her home. Some memories..

We enjoy watching new owners take possession of our previous RVs as much as we like to take one off someone's hands who knows we will give it the due care and attention it deserves.
Sounds kind of corny I guess and that's probably why the DW says our motorhomes are my other women.

It was a love hate for me but mostly for the AC roof leak project. Got a dealer scoping out some x213 for us and Im getting drawn into Starcrafts lineup. I'm liking some of the floor plans.

It's tough to say goodbye but fun looking forward to a new one. I like seeing the Blazer, I have a '73 on the property and pull my '15 27DSRL with a '91 Ford Bronco. Us short wheelbase guys have to stick together.

Yep. I can drag that 165 around with no prob but have the wdh already on stand. Y for the larger unit.

I was very happy to see my old trailer go to the young couple I sold it to. She was into equine real estate sales and needed a portable hotel room & office that would fit in with all the horse trailer/RV owners she was working with.

When I had bought that trailer, the seller's daughter (22-24? at the time) had flashbacks of many trips while SWMBO and I ran through the final lighting checkout.

Agreed! We have a 314BHDS towed by an Avalanche 2500 - we always get the "look" when pulling into the campground and usually at least one neighbor is a deputy for the weight police asking all kinds of questions. When I pop the hood and show them the 496 8.1 liter they usually go away..

Well as a follow-up to this i did find our next camper and shes now in our driveway awaiting its first adventure. We just couldnt find any x213 Jaycos remotely close new and seems like the local Jayco dealer that be bought our 165 from was not willing to bring one in from another dealer out of state (even for an on lot swap) for a sale. Oh well, though not the Jayco we wanted nor wanted to wait for an ordered one to be built/delivered we went went a Gulfstream 24' Friendship bunk house. Got a such good deal on this 2017 unit that i couldnt just pass on. Here she is after bring it home frome the dealer (no WDH installed yet)

Like you exjay, we also purchased a SOB (some other brand) TT. We also tried hard to stay with Jayco, but we found a floorplan we liked and the rest as they say is history. But I'll still be lurking.

Our last two trailers were purchased by two of our sons and their families. We were so distressed getting rid of our Rpod and Keystone Premier that we practically begged them to purchase from us. We sold them for what our dealer trade-in would have been on the new rv, so you can imagine that we were able to gave them great deals both times. Now we camp with both of them and get to see our old trailers all the time!
