San Antonio camping

Can anyone suggest a good, and easy, campground on the outskirts of San Antonio? We are pulling our 5er to south padre island at the end of May. Don't want to drive our 377 through the middle of San Antonio.

Hill Country RV in New Braunfels.... Nice campground out of the San Antonio chaos.... only a short drive away... North of San Antonio on I35 just a few miles
