Schwintek Slide Systems

Design issues

I think any design that relies on two independent motors to stay in sync is very susceptible to binding issues. As thing wear the friction to move the slide can vary side to side causing endless binding problems.

The majority of issues with the Schwintek motors are not the motors themselves. It’s the delicate circuit boards on top of the motor with the small gauge wires soldered to the board. I recently replaced a motor and tore apart the old one. The motor worked just fine both ways when bypassing the circuit board. I soldered a wire extension to the motor with a 3 way switch and can plug into a cigarette lighter plug (which I have next to my slide) and operate the motor both ways as an emergency back up. My big slides have the in the floor slides which have one heavy duty motor and are easily accessed for manual operation.

Interesting. I have the same issue with my 2018 Seismic 4212. It's the large living room slide which also contains the huge double-door fridge. I can tell by watching the floor that it is, in fact creeping out at different rates and jamming. Then I have to "bump" it in and out until it squares up enough to continue.

I've tried synchronizing procedures over and over to no avail.
