How many charges does a EV battery take. Does the pickup go to the junk yard after the battery dies? How much is a replacement battery? Is it even able to be changed?? I know the batteries do not recycle well either.

There are several "Blink" charging stations at our fitness center, out of curiosity I touched the screen on one to see how much it charges. The cost was $.49 per KW for non-blink members and $.39 for members. An F-150 EV Lightning battery can store 131 KWh of power, which delivers a towing range of 150-200 miles. Which in the real world means about 100 miles. If you recharge 100 kw ( about 80%) every 100 miles that's the equivalent in gas burner terms of about 3.5 mpg. and about 45 minutes down time "if" you're first in line.

This math does not appear correct to me. Using your assumptions and US average for gallon of unleaded, wouldn’t the math be as follows?

(100 miles)x(3.9 $/gal)/[(0.39 $/kw)x(100 kw)] = 10 mpg

Looking into the lifespan of electric cars its by far much more than most cars. The electric motors will last much longer than most gas or diesel engines. With that being said and the complete lack of recharging stations and the strong reliance on power infrastructure that is already maxed out in many locations... yeah with current technology it just does not seem sustainable... We need a major breakthrough, the fusion info in recent days might actually be what is needed.
