Has anyone in this group gotten a select comfort bed? How well does it stay inflated when there is no power? is there any center lump discomfort between the 2 sides?
Thanks in advance

I've stayed in a few hotels that have had them. I think the power has no effect on the air staying in but you might confirm on their website. I relate them to the old waterbeds of the 70's and 80's where the more you spent the better the results in the waveless features.

There are chambers in the air mattresses that have some effect on the support. What I have found with them is the that if you like a softer bed then the less air you use the more the sag is in the middle. So you can't lay completely flat with equal support. The air runs out under the heavier areas first. The middle between the two sides is up due to the foam in the middle of the air beds when you do this.

If however you are a firm advocate then this might be the bed for you because it will never sag. Just add more air as you need to keep it firm.

Did I see Jayco offering these as an option?

I replaced my Jayco original king mattress with a Sleep Number bed a couple of months ago. I should have done it the first day (I have been full time since August 2010). The bed is fantastic and is even lighter than the original mattress (which I just finished burning). It holds air without any noticeable leaking down when it doesn't have power to it, but even if it did, the pump is almost silent and only takes a couple of minutes to air it up from completely flat. Less than a minute to go from 50% to 100%.

Sleep Number sells RV versions, including the short Queen, in their retail stores. The RV King with Radius corners is only available through Camping World.
Would I do it again? In a minute without any hesitation.

In the class C we get a short queen mattress that is worth about $3.00. I do need to upgrade it. I will watch this and see who posts on here. Cant replace with regular size queen as it is too long.
