Considering replacement.....Seneca 2016FK factory unit leaves a bit to be desired. (Especially when accidentally left open, opps). Wondering if switch out for Fantastic Fan would be DIY project...hubby (while needs reminders he’s not 30 anymore) is very capable. Figure some of you have tackled this one. Thanks!

I agree... I am ready to replace our fan too - but am thinking that it will require a remote to control the fan settings (instead of the only switch that does on/off only. )

We replaced ours. The fan that comes in the coach is quite basic and all manual operation. My wife could not reach it without standing on a stool. We replaced it with a Maxx Air with remote control. It has every feature that comes on one of these fans. It can be open in the rain and with the remote, can be controlled easily with out needing to reach to the ceiling. I consider myself fairly handy and found this to be a very easy job. Your husband should have no problem. Here is a link to the model we purchased:

Whatever replacement fan you do get, consider adding a roof vent cover so you can leave it open without rain worries. As long as the fully automatic fans have a manual override feature, they would be a nice upgrade.

Agreed. That's why we liked the Maxx Air. The design of the fan prevents rain from getting in, so no vent cover needed. And it also has manual operation in case you want/need to hand crank it open.
