I was looking at a picture and saw something I was wondering about. Thought I'd start a thread for asking questions about something they can't identify. So here is mine.

2016 Seneca: What is under the piece of carpet where that Red wire is? That wire seems quite large to be power for the seat? See inside red box.

I have a 2014 Seneca but I am fairly certain it is the same on mine.

It is part of the Freightliner electrical system, in a regular M2 truck with a full cab it would be mounted on the back wall of the cab behind the driver's seat. There are several modules involved and Jayco has tapped into them to feed various lights, trailer tow connection, etc. At times you may hear relays "clicking" back there as you operate your unit. When I operate my turn signals or 4-way flashers I hear things happening there.

I do wish Jayco had taken more care to enclose and isolate these items, I felt strongly enough that I did cover some of the connections myself to ensure nothing could create a short.
