Sewer hose poll

OK its time to get dirty in one of our polls. Which brand of sewer hose do you use? Discussions welcome as always as well as brand suggestions.

Camco Revolution - I picked it up a Wal Mart fairly cheap and it has been a good hose so far.

I use the Duraflex premium hoses (red box).

I used to work in a RV dealer parts department. The 'red boxed' Duraflex sewer hoses are what the service techs used and they held up pretty good against all the abuse they got in their hands. I figured if they held up that well against all the ill-treatment they got in the service department, they should do real well in the seldom and gentle use I give them.

FWIW: I use the Valtera EZ coupler system. They're quick & easy to install and you don't have to wrestle with the connector or a hose stretcher to get it on the hose.

Been using the hose and fittings that apparently came originally with the unit. Previous owner used it, and still works just fine, after 10 years. See no reason to spend $$ to change it. JMHO

You mean you don't have to use tongs to stretch the hoses like Robin Williams did in RV???

Rhinoflex here. I'm sing the same hose that I bought 3 1/2 years ago and it is still going strong after 3 1/2 years of full time use.

Rhinoflex since 2004, added another 10' in 2008 for longer reach, all stored in the rear bumper.

I use the Camco heavy duty (the tan ones). They last a long time, are reasonably priced and available at any Walmart. I use the Valtera (red) connectors. I carry a 10' and a 20' setup with a connector for the rare time I need to hook them together. These hoses last for years.

FWIW, when I was still working for the RV dealer, one of our wholesaler reps came in one day and brought a salesman with him. The salesman was pushing the Rhino sewer hose. I told him give me one and I'd let the tech's in service tell me how it holds up compared to the Duraflex sewer hoses they used, (See my previous post above). The guy gave me a dumb look. I never did see a free 'demo' hose for the service dept to use. I'm not saying the Rhino hose isn't a good one, but the guy didn't seem like he was too eager for me to put it to the test.

We went to Camping World right after we bought our TT and loaded up. The little cheap brown hose that came with the trailer seemed like a failure waiting to happen. We bought the rinoflex because it looked to me from the offerings it would work very well and most importantly seal the system from end to end. I also bought caps for the ends so when we store it, it is also sealed.

We are in a park in Houston now and there is a guy who has his duct taped together, I am sure sooner or later that is going to be a disaster.

Purchased it the same day we purchased our camper. It came as part of a "starter kit" that you got to put together yourself out of the dealership's shop using a discount price package and a list of items.

Mine don't leak at all, but now I'm afraid they will. How old is your hose?

They are about three years old. They have a tendency to leak where they attach to the dump valve, or where two lengths are fastened together. The leak is just a dribble, usually fixed by repositioning the connection. It seems like the fittings do not create enough pressure on the gasket - like if I could make them just a bit tighter, they would not leak. I bought some replacement gaskets which I'll install before our first trip when the freeze has abated.

Let us know how the gasket replacement goes. I like my hose very much, and if it starts to leak, I would like to know I could repair it rather than replace it...

Wow, I'm the only one using the Dominator brand? Interesting, for some reason I thought it would be more popular than that. But perhaps I shouldn't spend so much time thinking about how popular my sewer hose is amongst peers.
