Share your Boondocking CG Photos

This past Labor Day weekend we camped on the Great Sacandaga and had a really nice view of the cove and lake.

Ah! This is my kind of camping.
Now that I turned 60 I will be doing less tent camping, except on my hunting trips. I am picking up a used 2012 Jayco X213 tomorrow, so I will be looking forward to heading to a few of these spots. Keep sharing those remote spots to check out.

Great pics folks. My wife & I still haven't bought a rig yet, but we're veteran tent campers for many years---and will likely be boondocking the majority of the time as we like being in the woods/mountains.

What is it about food tasting so much better when you're camping? Love cooking steaks over a campfire.

Welcome to the forum

I agree Steve, there is something about cooking over a casmpfire that makes the food taste better.

This is 6.6 miles in on 96 Ranch Road off of the 79 south of Florence, AZ. GPS 32.859943,-111.126646
We stayed here for a few days after Christmas.

nunyadamn,

Looks like a nice area, and based on your coordinates it's the spot you referenced in response to my recent thread. http://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23948&page=2

I know your not there now, but was wondering what the weather conditions have been the last few days?

Bob

Bob - yes, that is the same place I referenced. I got back on Sunday (I live in Gilbert - about 1.5hours north west from that location). It was mildly cold - or cold if you live in AZ. I can't tell you the weather exactly for that spot, but my guess is it has been cold. We got some rain yesterday and then everything was frozen this morning on my way into work. I am guessing that if there was rain over there that the dirt road has some ruts. I don't think we have rain in the forecast for too much longer.

This is the view of Pye lake from the campsite, 8 spots in the wilderness down a FSR. We are going to take the trailer there Easter weekend for it's maiden voyage.

This is our old C class in there in 2011. We go as often as we can, bring your own water and firewood as it's not permitted to cut trees. Great trout fishing and some very cool thunder & lightning storms.

some great pics of some remote places it looks like! It would be real nice to be able to camp somewhere and ride atv's from the camper (out west). Jealous!

Boondocking is when you have an occasional visitor while grilling dinner.

A little small, but look dead center in the photo.

Gtsum2, So how are you hauling the wheelers?

Aluma A8812 trailer...but I think I will be ordering a Jayco Seismic Wave TH here in a couple of months;). Been looking for a mid size TH that isnt over 16k lbs or so and this might be it...can also order it with the auto level up which is harder to find on other ones (that arent bigger and heavier). I also like that Jayco insulates under the garage as most others dont (7 and 4 year old boys will be sleeping back there). I also might be making the switch from atv to SxS later this year as well:eek:
