Shower track question

Hello all,

I have a question for other 2024 321 RSTS owners. I entrain other owner opinion but was looking for specific owners for proof to argue with the dealer and Jayco.

We also have a 2024. 321RSTS and have had issues with the bottom shower track leaking water. From the factory it had a gap, filled in with silicone. When we did our PDI we brought this to the service department and they said to keep an eye on it. Well, you guessed it, it leaks water from this location. We know this because we did a water test, only getting this specific place wet. We took it to a different dealer in July for warranty work, this specific problems and others. They ordered the shower track, top and bottom because, they said it was to short. We took it back to have this replaced and Jayco denied the replacement of the tracks, their solution was to remove them and reapply more silicone. We walked the dealership lot and found other models with the track within an 1/8" to 1/4" of the vertical metal and that the doors close against. The dealership went ahead and replaced the tracks, but with the same gap. We addressed with the manager, he stated that the tracks are shipped already cut to Jayco's specs. I disagree as metal shavings were present in the track and shower floor. I think they took the old one out and used it as a template. I'm curious if other 2024 321 RSTS owners have the same gap. I will try to attach pictures of ours for reference.
Thanks everyone.

We were not happy with the shower tracks either. There was a huge amount of silicon and they always seemed wet and dirty. We got some brushes and sponges and worked on the tracks often. This wasn't our only issue, the glass door handle screw wouldn't hold the handle solidly and the handle would come off. The handle is aluminum and I gave up trying to bend it so the screw would hold better. The glass was streaked from water & soap such that we kept a squeegee on the shower floor and wiped the glass after each shower.

Overall, rating 1(poor) to 10(wonderful) - we would rate the shower a 9 and the door a 1.5. Something had to change so we replaced the door on our new 321RSTS shower with a Nautilus and now we rate the whole shower a 10!Here is a forum post all about this easy project

The project was done in less than an hour and there are many others in this forum who have upgraded to this same shower door... just search for "Nautilus Shower". See this youtube video from the Nautilus Shower Door manufacturer: Stoett. See below for another really good one from a popular camper. See this Nautilus Installation

We ordered a 48" wide door in satin black. You'll notice your shower is two piece. Plastic bottom with water proof walls that start about 2 feet up from the floor. To make the wall perfectly flat, I just added a couple feet of PVC Trim board (this is what Stoett recommends) that I picked up at Home Depot. I screwed this trim board to the wall so the walls were nicely flat.

Zoom in on this photo and you can see where the trim board was placed. I added some PVC quarter round over the edges so it looks like this was how the camper was made. It's perfect. No more leaks and cleaning the bottom and the water comes off the door as it's retracted. The shower is brighter.
