The side entry door becomes extremely hard to open when hot. I know the was a post on the fix, but I can't seem to find it. Any help would be appreciated.

There are several things that can cause issues with the. Be sure that the screws on the hinges are tight. These tend to loosen and I have to tighten them a few times a year, this pulls the door back to the hinges and allows more room on latch side. You can adjust the strike plate by tightening the the screws, this again provides some gap between the door frame and lastly or maybe first apply some lubricant to the hinges and locks. Use something that will not attract dust. I lube the strike plate from time to time as people tend to slam the door if the first time they try to close it doesn't work.

Thanks for your help. I've done those fixes but haven't solved the problem. The door puts pressure on the dead bolt and you have to push in on the door to releave the pressure. I'll try Rusty's fix to see if that works. I've ground the striker plate but I don't want to make it to loose. Thanks for your help

While on the subject, what's the right tension bar to use with these doors? We've now went through 2 of them, the first one the dealer replaced, this one we no longer live anywhere near a dealer so I just want to do it myself.

Thanks,
Jeff

I threw my strut in the garbage and installed a magnetic latch. You then can leave the door open all the way and not have it rattle in the wind
