I have a JAYCO 321RSTS on order. I have a 2013 F250 Super Duty with a short bed. I am considering installing a Reese Sidewinder pin box. Are there any reasons that I shouldn't use it. I am not a big fan of slider hitches.

I have the Sidewinder on my 29.5 and it has worked out great these last 3 years. Hitching/unhitching is a bit trickier due to having to align the plate up, but after a few times it's really no big deal.

See my sig for full setup

I have the Mor-ryde orbital hitch. Like Force said - it's a little trickier hitching and unhitching but it is wonderful when backing up and tight turns. I can turn a full 90 degrees (not that I do on a regular basis) and not worry about a busted window.

Had one on my first 5er and it was a PITA to hitch and unhitch. I thick the wedge was set too tight if that possible but you almost have to be straight on or its a pain. I also have it on my 28.5 but dont use it becuase my 6.9 bed is fine for making turns and it isnt needed.

i had one on my Rockwood, with a short bed, for five years and it worked great. Like everyone said, it takes practice and hooking it up gets easier. Plus you can use a regular hitch so you don't have all that extra weight with a sliding hitch.

That's good to hear, because we're getting a 28.5 in a few days, and have a short bed F250. We ordered it with the Morryde orbital, but it wouldn't bother me if we could leave it locked out and use it as a regular kingpin, as long as it doesn't hit the cab.
