Skylights

Well on my TT you'd only need about 2" of the tube or something like that, the "attic" is very slim. Only other comment on the idea I replaced my jayco cracked skylight over the tub / shower with a Lexan one, and its very nice can bend but won't break - look on Ebay. It doesn't have interior trim however it mounts to outside. You supposed to have inside trim already.

I would be concerned that the tubular skylight wouldn't hold up to road travel. You may think about a skylight like the ones used over the bathroom shower. They really let in a lot of light however, you would probably need to add framing for that. I installed a 14X14 power skylight with a "smoke" transparent lid and cover and it helped quite a bit.

I installed a tubular skylight in my house, from the pitched roof thru the attic to the LR ceiling. Cannot imagine why to use one in a TT with a 4inch long tube rather than 4feet. Also, it was not made for TT abuse and would likely shake apart on the road.

I have seen the amount of light they let in. I was looking to lighten the living are in my unit, love the layout but it's a little dark. After thinking on it the regular skylights the obvious way to go.

You could already have the framing in the ceilings. Check with jayco if you have it or not. If you do it should be pretty easy to install one.

I have seen regular skylights installed in new campers roof and also in a slideout roof. Maybe you can find a supplier.
