Follow up on an earlier post. A question before i order a new lock.

I ultimately had to empty the compartment, crawl through, and unlock from the inside. I now have the compartment door open for access to the lock.

Bauer does not seem to have the same design anymore. New ones have the lock off set instead of centered and a slightly different shape to the outside housing. Global Link sells one that looks identical but seems to require it's own key, meaning I can't use the same key as the other side. I could live with that but I want to be sure the screw holes etc. will fit the opening before ordering. The Global Link Q&A is a little vague on the subject. Does anyone happen to know?

On my 2017 Eagle HT one of the cargo doors didn't have a locking slam latch on it. I also was advised they no longer made the latch anymore and the replacement was nowhere close to the original. I ordered the Global Link, and it was close, but to get to fit I would have to trim the hole a little more. I ended up just drilling a hole and using a 751 latch lock.

Would you please post photos of the modification you did to the slam latch. Thank you.

Sorry but I'm unable to download a picture from my phone.
I just drilled a hole in the bottom of the cargo door between the two slam latches and used the common 751 lock to lock the door.
