Slide issue

Hey everyone. I own a 2021 Jayco Whitehawk. I am having an issue with my Slide (the recliners and dinette) it will go out when I push the button on the control panel, but it does not go back in. It does not click or make any noise what so ever. We had this issue in October we took it to the shop they said it was a Node I believe that’s it, they replaced it. I brought camper home and winterized it and parked it for winter. I never tried opening it because it was snowing when I picked it back up I was trusting they fixed it. Here it is Spring i opened the slide and it won’t go back in AGAIN. Can anyone help me figure this out.

We have the camper plugged in. Everything else is working. Our battery is dead, does it matter when I have it plugged in?

The battery is what is operating the slides, the converter just gives it a boost.

There are several things that may not be on the disconnect. Propane and possibly C02 alarm as well as the auto level control if you have that. Do you leave it plugged in at home? If yes leave the battery disconnect on.

I have had the camper unplugged all winter with the battery disconnect pulled. I’m going to give the battery good charge tomorrow and go from there. I was seasonal all last summer so the camper was plugged in everyday and I never had an issue with the battery. Thank you for all your advice I appreciate it

Be careful. The electric converter can overload and fail if the battery is low when operating the slide. The motor pulls a lot of amps to move the slide.

The stock battery cut off will allow the battery to drain due to "sacrificial drains." Look into a better battery disconnect system.

Hey here, so we did replace the battery and it still won’t go back in. It opened with no problem, and no hesitation. Then 5 minutes after opening it I tried to see if it would close, and nothing!!! We just brought it home from the shop in February for this same reason.

I would try reversing the wires on the switch as a troubleshooting step. What kind of slide is it?

I have heard that sometimes the automatic resetting breakers are too weak to do the job. They are usually mounted on the front of the cabin. Some have replaced then with higher amp breakers because of tripping. Sorry, I don't know any more than this. It might be worth looking into. Just wondering, did it make a noise and then quit?
