Slide Out "Gap"

Greetings fellow Jayco owners, We have just had rollers fitted under the front slide out on our Motor Home, due to the weight it was not working properly and making grinding noises. It has been away for 2 months having this work done and we picked it up, reluctantly, as it has now developed a "gap" between the body of the unit and the slide out, to the point where I can fit my hand between them, (which can't have anything to do with the rollers as they do not protrude or interfere with the mechanism). When we close up the slide out, it closes properly but when we drive, after a short distance, the wind appears to get between the two and the "gap" opens up, this happens only on the edge closest to the vehicle door, causing wind and rain to enter the motor home.
Has anyone out there had this experience and if so how was it fixed. I'm thinking a "wind deflector" situated just forward of the slide out may help but this obviously would need to be applied by a qualified person...don't know whether holes would need to be drilled.
Any ideas would be gratefully appreciated.

Thank you

gap re retracted slide

Hi. Just a thought as this happened to me. It turned out the brake on the slide motor was in the unlocked position. Simply had to place lever in lock position.

Take it back or take in to another tech that knows how to adjust a slide-out properly. And use travel bars in the mean time for safety sake. You don't give away the model of motor home and year for some reason? Someone with the same rig may have had the same experience and may have a good recommendation. Thousands are built the same.

I'm reading a lot of posts that suggest using "travel bars"...can anyone out there please post a photo for me as I am not familiar with this and it may be used in other parts of the world but not here in Australia...thank you

I think this is what they are talking about..
