Slide out pantry in our 330RLTS

I mentioned this in early May and the shelves are finally in. I also made a shelf for the storage behind the stove.

Very Nice. I zoomed in on the 3rd picture and could not tell where this shelf is located. Don't you love how you can find stuff in your pantry, we love ours.

The third pic is where the tv goes in the bedroom. We never watched tv in the bedroom in our last trailer so we made it into storage. Only thing I would change on it is it should not be as deep. It is hard to reach over it to the back of the cabinet.

On the outside storage I have another shelf ready to fit on top of the one already installed. Next project will be sewer hose storage. I also have an electrician making a thirty amp power line that will plug into the side of the trailer. That 50 amp cord is really stiff when it is cold out.

The existing shelves are under the sliding ones. They hold the cabinet together. We lost about an inch and a half of up and down space but the convenience is well worth it.

I didn't make the slide outs. The local band teacher made them and installed them for us. The outside one is a little rough but it is mine.

A carpenter/cabinet builder made them for me. He bought the hardware at either Lowes or Home Depot. The slides come is several different lengths.

I have admired your slide out pantry solution for some time, and am going to use our winter down time to install such a system on my fiver. I've got some questions if you can stand them:

1) It looks like the sides of the slide outs are made of 1/4" plywood, and that the bottoms are made of 3/4" plywood?

2) Are the sides attached with screws and glue to the bottoms?

3) It looks like the sides are about 1 1/2" high (on the inside of the slide outs). Is this correct, and are you pleased with this height, or should the sides be lower or higher?

4) I think I see fasteners of some sort at the upper corners of the sides of the slide outs. Is there some sort of angle bracket there?

5) Are there any changes to your design that you would suggest?

1. No plywood on the sides, it is 3/8 in hardwood strips.

2. The bottoms are shelf material from the hardware store. Hard white finish that is easy to clean.

3. The height is perfect and I wouldn't change a thing.

4. The corners have brass corner brackets and brass screws.

Be sure and get the heavy duty slide brackets. Canned goods are heavy.
