It's a pleasure to "meet" all of you

We just got bak froma 5 day trip to the Eastern Sierras in Northern Calif. Rain and hail in Aug???

Now that the kids are out of the home or don't want to go, DW and I picked up a used 2007 in May 2010. We paid $8k (not ment for bragging, more for a baseline and why we bought it) Great little layout with room for TWO, not three

This our 5th traile, not including cargo trailers. First two where tent trailers, one with a tree falling thought the middle in a campground. Then came a 1996 Dutchman 26BH, then a 2001 30' Sprinter with super slide, master bdrm and quad bunks.

Our current trailer is small enough to park in our driveway, or at least till the city changes their laws. Now, loading /unloading is a lot less stressful. So far, i don't miss any of the others, except for the memories

Almost all out our "camping" is dry camp and no generator. Campgrounds with hook ups= too many people. Currently, trailer is pulled with a 2006 Dodge quad cab with 4.7 V8 (small V8 with 14-15mpg and 8-10mpg when towing) 2) new 6volt batteries and one 10 yr old 30" x48" solar panel.

I'd love to hear from others and where other great places are for us to explore, specially in Northern Calif

Thanks....Brian

Welcome to the Jayco Owners Forum Brian! We enjoyed visiting the valley NP's Sequioa/Yosemite, and the Redwoods along the Northern Cali coast. Otherwise, we don't have much experience camping up there. Enjoy your "new" tt! :)
