when you guys get tired of me bugging you just let me know, I seem to be the kind of guy who likes to have a plan ,I do not like the fly by the seat of your pants senario.
OK ,I was talking to another full time camper while at the shop yesterday. He says We will have a hard time finding room at nice campgrounds this winter without a reservation made last year. Now we don't plan on staying in one place all winter,as we are not sure where we will like the most. So lets say we arrive in SouthTexas(that covers a big area) in October ,will it be hard to find decent spots ,staying a couple of weeks here and another couple of weeks down the road? We will probably like a place with a pool and some recreational options, we are not looking for primitive sites.
What is everyones opinion on camping clubs? I don't understand the membership only campgrounds(like a timeshare?) If you don't feel good about nameing any specific one on the forum you are welcome to email me with your thoughts. Are they required to get discounts/benefits ?
Last question I promise,I was told by a friend of a friend ( you know them )that they knew someone that roamed around the country and worked at different places in exchange for free camping. How would I find these places ? I googled it but I am not getting anything,is there a guide book or something, or are they just campers storie?. Thanks again ,I sure appreciate everyone s opinion.
