Starlink Mount 5th Wheel

Made progress on my Starlink install. Fabricated router mounting bracket using PVC board. Installed smart plug pass through connector for cable.

Completed fabrication of the dish mount bracket. Did not get a picture prior to sending out for powder coating. Coating will take a week. Ordered a right sized storage container for the dish and hardware.

Where did you get that pass through?

I want to buy the pole adapter for my Starlink, then secure the pole to the rear ladder for when we’re stationary. The only question I have is on my 355MBQS “where’ can I come through the rear wall for the cable pass through? Should I contact Jayco?

Thanks!!!

Used the mount for the 1st time. Worked great. Shortened the pole 12". Added a 5/16 quick release pin. Also added a rubber square plug, when the mount is not used.

The plug is a Smart Data Plug from Etrailer. With a water proof RJ45 from Amazon mounted to it.

I don't have Starlink, but I do have a flagpole mount that I built in this thread:

https://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/f6/flag-pole-mount-102906.html

The nice about this rig is that it can be put on either the rear or the front of the 5th wheel, depending on where the trees are. I have found that the no-rattle-hitch bracket, keeps everything tight as well. I don't know how "tight" the pole needs to be for Starlink...

I would not mount it to your Pinnacle. I have mine just sitting on the ground about 25' to get around the tall trees here. if you mount it than you will have to move your entire rig to get away from tall trees

I agree. I showed up to camp this weekend with my new Starlink and Flagpole Buddy. Trees at the back of the trailer so the Starlink is on its storage container out in the middle of our site. I have a feeling I’ll be using that method more than the pole. Hopefully it doesn’t grow legs.

RDTC where did you get the smart plug pass through connector you used? I am having a hard time finding a good waterproof connection like that one.

I have also purchased a tripod for a roof antenna and added 3/4" pieces of starboard to the feet brackets with a 7/16" hole drilled through and used 10" long anchor screws to attach the feet to the ground. I use the same pipe and mount for the dish. I use it more often as I can choose a better location for the dish to align with.

I use a tripod to mount our Starlink and place it outside where needed. Our 36SSWS make sit pretty easy to route the cable from the inside dining table area to the outside TV compartment and I just close the bay door with the cable running to the starlink dish.

The router sits on the ledge by the table and the power box is in the cabinet by the table where the TV power cord is as well, so need to drill holes in anything.

We went with the Flagpole buddy on the ladder, eBay’d a mount for the gen 3 power adapter and router and mounted the power/router in the pass through bay front wall. Our 29.5BHDS has 110v in the bay, so that was no issue. A Velcro cord organizer keeps the antenna wire out of the way during travel. I run the cable out one of the pass throughs in the bay, under the camper and up the pole. Plenty of signal from the bay mounted router.
