The key that opens the door to my 2024 26M also opens all the storage compartments around the unit (I'm guessing this is the norm). Door is not a problem, but I'm very careful when opening / locking a storage door as they are tight. I'm leery of breaking the key off and being stuck. Not sure where to get copies made, which I will. Do you keep keys stashed for your rig? Magnetic thing hidden somewhere? Looking for options as I'd hate to be stuck somewhere for loss of a stupid key.

I, along with others, were able to get replacement keys already cut to the code from Amazon. Our TT uses a Bauer brand lock. Any locksmith can cut some new ones also.

I keep one spare on my main key ring, one in the truck, and the DW and I both carry a set on a carabineer when we're camping.

Sent my daughter to college with a spare key ziptied under the car and a small package of zipties to put it back after being used. Magnetic boxes fall off. And carry a door key for when the garage door doesn't open.

I do not have a key hidden on my tt. It would be easy to do. When we are at camp, I never lock my storage compartments. I have a command hook, on the wall upright in a corner out of sight. We place a key there, but only when we are camping.

There are a few online places to order spare keys. I tried a couple of my local locksmiths and none carried rv key blanks.

I didn't realize these keys can be gotten on Amazon (three for $14). With the code numbers I saw, it looks like my key works in many other RV's and vice versa.

We have a door key hidden on the outside of the camper, also My wife and I both have a key ring with door locks.

If I need a hatch key, I can just ask any fellow camper.

Maybe Jayco is cheaping out with keys but mine had different door keys and a touch lock.

It might be worth looking into a touch key lock for the door.

Single key is relatively a new thing. I have three keys. My cargo hatches use the standard CH751. Almost every older RV uses this key for the hatches.

I keep a spare set of door, compartment, and ignition keys in the propane compartment. That's a non-locking door so I can always get to them.

I use a lock box similar to the one below. Could a determined thief cut the cable and smash it open to get the key? Probably. But he could also just throw a rock through the back window. https://www.amazon.com/Iron-Lock®-W...41b035b32129c20244c6c4d8060&gad_source=1&th=1

If you are in a busy campground, 99% chance someone in that campground has the same key setup you have. Also, picking these RV Locks can be done as fast as inserting a key to unlock. I keep a little homemade pick tool in my wallet and have used it a few times..

Your keys should have a code or number stamped on it. Contact your dealer and they should be able to order them for you. I believe you need to show proof of ownership on your trailer to them before ordering them.

Key hiding place

There are a couple good places to clip an extra key in the hot water heater compartment. Always accessible. Just don’t block exhaust.

replacement keys

I found the Baeur locks online was a eazy process. Enter the key number and quantityand shipped to your door.

I think the may be the OEM to Jayco. They carry all kinds of RV latches and locks

Spare door key hidden in propane compartment and spare storage compartment and ignition keys hidden in motorhome. Never have to worry.
