I have a 2018 Jayco 29V and want to improve the steering stability. Every highway drive is white knuckle. Would either a Road Master or Safe T Plus stabilizer help? Any recommendations on brand and model to buy would be appreciated, as well as any other low cost suggestions.

Alignment completed, loading is evenly distributed. I has a dealwr dive it a couple of years ago and he suggested adding a steering damper. It tends to want to drift on less ltahn perfect roas surfaces and when being passed by other vehicles.

Thank you Grumpy. Since we don't know how long, or even IF, we are keeping this vehicle I'll probably just do the steering stabilizer for now. Appreciate your inputs.

Koni Shocks and a Safe-T-Plus steering stabilizer did it for us. One hand driving down the road. BTW, Safe-T-Plus will install for free if you buy it at their shop in Georgia. They also provide Konis.

Go find a cat scale on have the unit weigh when loaded for a trip, get total and front and back. Once you have weight look up the tires brand and get tire pressure needed for your weight, 5 to 10 psi can make a significant difference in driveability. Also have the front end alignment checked and adjust the toe in back to spec. If you still not happy with driving look at the safe-t plus steering stabilizer, just realize this unit this is not going down the road like a car

Thank you. Is there a specific model of the Koni Shock you would recommend?

I had a front end alignment on a Thor and our 2018 Alante 29S. Factory does not do it. When I bought the used Thor, it was dancing on the highway and especially when being passed by a big truck. Suggested tire pressure was 85 psi on the sticker. Sidewall max pressure on new front tires was 110psi. Checked the pressure and it was 110. Lowered to 85 and there was a dramatic change. Got front alignment after that and it went away. It did have a steering dampener shock with a spring. Jumping sideways toward the truck passing is usually too much toe in. The wind blows the RV to the right shifting the weight. The tires on the right will get more traction than the left and move toward the truck.

Thanks everybody. I had the safe t plus installed as well as koni shocks. Huge difference! Handles much better and feels a lot safer!
