I have a Jayco 26XD C Class and am interested in sway bar for the front. I have no experience in this field so I need help in determining what I need. I've read that Roadmaster and Helwig have good reviews but what would be best for my MH. The GVWR is 14,500; The GAWR is 5,000 lbs front and 9,600 lbs rear. Any advise is appreciated. Also do I need to change the front shocks?

I went here https://www.safe-t-plus.com/ and had them install a steering stabilizer, a front anti-sway bar (already had a rear stabilizer) and I installed Koni shocks all around. The combination really made a difference in handling. They have several installation centers and the one in Georgia has an overnight free campground for customers. I also had them perform a front-end alignment. I have a Chevy 5500 chassis instead of a Ford.

I can easily drive down the road with one hand whereas before, I really needed to use both hands because it wandered a little.

My 2023 Greyhawk (E450) came with JRide Plus. This included Koni shocks, heavy duty rear sway bar and rear helper springs, plus a couple of other things. Although my MH handled fairly well from Jayco, I did four things to noticeably improve handling.

First was to properly adjust the rear helper springs. There was a recent thread about proper adjustment. The adjustment took about 15 minutes. $0

The second was to install a heavy duty Hellwig front sway bar. I did it myself in about an hour. I have a set of wooden ramps, about 10" tall x 5' long, made from layers of scrap 2x10. You might be able to remove the old, install the new without the ramps, but the ramps made it very easy. Two bolts for each of the two front bushings and two end link bolts (6 bolts total) is all that's involved. ~$400

The third was installing a set of Sumo spring in the front. After raising the front wheels of the ground with the auto leveling system, a 10mm deep well socket is all it took to remove the old bump stops. The Sumo spring screw into place without the need for a wrench. This took less than an hour. ~$300

The last was a front end alignment. There's a local alignment shop that does commercial vehicles. When I called to asked about my MH, they told me that Ford's spec's are very broad, and they adjust to numbers that give good handling. ~$250

I did each change individually. Each change made a small, but noticeable improvement. I catch myself driving like I'm in a car, and not a big MH when I get out on the interstate.

FYI, I just Googled Jayco 26XD. For 2022, it came with JRide, and not JRide Plus. JRide did not include Koni shocks or heavy duty rear sway bar.

I went with Roadmaster parts. Front and rear sway bars and an exact center steering stabilizer. Sway bars were a relatively easy R 'n R. I let the shop install the steering stabilizer when they aligned it. Huge difference, no complaints...

Sway Bar for 22J ?

I just bought a 22J and it seems to wander going down the highway.
Would a sway bar and front end work help?

our Jayco class c 22j did the same .added roadster sway bars front and rear. the ford sway bars were too high for the load. added roadster steering control and koni shocks to the rear. big improvement but still ride somewhat rough.

Thank you for your reply. My mechanic looked at it and said it's just fine the way it is, but I will give him your information that you sent to me.

I replaced the sway bar and installed the steering stand. What actually did the best was to have the front end alignment done and had them increase the caster. That seems to be the biggest issue with sway and keeping it straight on the road.
I believe it came out to 4 & 5 degrees caster. One side gets more than the other.

Safe-T-Plus stabilizer upfront, and their trackbar in the rear, and my 32 footer sails down the road. Sway from passing trucks really reduced, can handle it with one hand.

Sumo Springs all around made all the difference in the world on my MH. Already had the Jride plus with the Konis. I also added the Roadmaster RSSC steering stabilizer. I did all of the installation work myself.

That's correct. Redhawks come with J-Ride. Greyhawks come with J-Ride Plus.
