You had those scissor type table legs? THEY ARE AWFUL! THEY ARE HEAVY. THEY ARE UNSTABLE and can cut off a finger, (if I am correct.) I've heard nothing but complaints. I think Jayco heard and are eventually phasing them out.

Good job with your modification.

I have the elliptical type. Pretty easy, a bit heavier, but definitely like it for the stability when the U-dinette goes down into a sleeper, which we do, a lot.

BTW, how does the slight slide elevation in front of that stove feel? Is it bothersome? Do you put a toe up on it when you're using the cooktop?

I will let you know, we leave next Wed on our first trip (3 weeks). I did put a rubber corner bumper (baby protector) on the slide floor where it has an outside corner on the floor where the side is bigger under the couch.

I used These legs from amazon. (27.5" legs, plus add some length for the top and bottom). Its maybe 1" lower than the table with V leg, but original table felt to high to us anyway. I mounted the lower mounts in center of floor, but mounted the table 1" off center as Wife and I are different thicknesses. I removed the original bottom plate on the table and reused the screws to install the new mount to the table. I asked Jayco for prints of the floor, and yes there is some wood under that section of the floor that seemed to be thicker than 1/4". I might setup a system under the table where you have a sliding board that has the mount on it so you can move the table to one side or the other. I will take pictures. if we do this.

Mine came with this table mount in 2010 and it’s never been a problem and that’s the standard table size for the dinette seating

Love these table legs, so much better! One thing to think about with these style table legs, traveling with the table up. The manual says to remove the legs while traveling, which is a pain! I have the same style and was concerned with the table rocking back & forth while traveling and wearing/egging out the floor mounts. Our solution was to add a couple of eye screws to the benches and then run a bungee cord over the table. Keeps it from rocking and loosening in the floor socket. If you cheat them toward the wall side, you can still sit at the table when stopping for lunch without having to remove bungee.
