I purchased a 19' Terrain a little over a month ago. I have no clue about the battery and I am completely new to this type of system. We had a 10 minute walk through from the dealer and away we went. Figuring I'd just dive in and get an understanding this year as we use it.

We live in Reno, Nevada and have cold, but not extremely cold weather. With that said, the first couple of weeks we did have a cold snap and I didn't do anything to the battery system as I assumed the dealer had it already prepared. In early January the battery was completely dead and had to connect to shore power and recalibrate the system. I then stored it per the instructions and took it out of storage last weekend for a trip to Utah.

During the trip, i had several errors and faults on the system, none of which I understand yet. After trying to figure it out, the system is now dead. The process at which it went through was the following:

The renogy system was working when the trip started, but had a "Cell Imbalance" error with code 2 showing. Then it switched to a "Cell Under Voltage" error with code 3, then to "Over Temperature" error with code 3 still. Then the battery switch by the sliding door stopped working and i can't turn on the battery at all. The monitors still show the error "Over Temperature" but the reset switch does nothing.

I'm at a loss and the dealers service department I purchased from will not call me back.

Even plugged into shore power, the battery switch by the sliding door will not turn on the battery and nothing, absolutely nothing works in the RV.

Any advice on where to begin would be helpful.

Thanks,

Scott

Your MaxVoltage on Cell 12 indicates it is bad. Anything that high is bad news, should be around 3300 - 3400. Dealer will have to replace it. Also your Total Voltage is 55.2. Only supposed to go up to 54.7. If you're on FB, you should join the Jayco Terrain/Entegra Launch group. Incredible wealth of knowledge there. DEHCO (now Patrick Distributing) designed the system and they will tell you the same thing. Might help grease the skids with getting it replaced. You can reach them at 574-294-2684. Dustin is a great resource. Best to call when you're at your van and can answer any questions they might have.

Thank you

Thanks for the input, I will reach out to Dehco and see where that gets me to begin with.

If it is a Renogy battery I would call Renogy and see it they have an idea on resetting the battery. If you bought it new then it has a warranty and you will need to talk to them anyway. They are California so look up the hours on their website.

I agree with contacting Renogy. I have a hard time believing that the high temp was (or is) 124.1C which would be just over 255 degrees Fahrenheit and then a low temp of negative 40 degrees.
