First Journey

Hauled our 2018 43’ Jayco Northpoint 5th Wheel back to our then ranch and loaded what we were taking with us and selling the rest.
Drove to a nice RV park and stayed 1 year. Then headed down to the Tampa area for 16 months during the Covid era.
Back up home in Pac. NW. to Volunteer Host 10 months out of the year, til now 1/24 full time.

We are Registered Volunteer State Park Host for FL., OR, and WA. states.

Accountability for Customers

Bought a brand new unit and had to fix the bed that fell through held by staples. Is there any court action yet for these units? There has to be accountability for how terrible these units are made. Such a big investment that won’t last long. I feel uneasy.

Welcome to the forum. There probably should be. I have a buddy that has a Jay Flight TT and the same thing happened to his.

Tightening p-trap coupler threads... All of them.
2024 Jayco 30Z.

That's one 'first thing' I did, too.

Tightened all the threaded water inlet connections, too. Don't forget the ones hidden in access spaces, like the backside of your outdoor shower. I had a leak there.

I bought this Titan fan from Amazon for indoor use, and I’m super impressed with it! It creates a really strong breeze that quickly cools down the room. Plus, it’s super convenient because you can easily mount it on the wall using magnets, which keeps it out of the way but still really effective. It’s definitely been a game-changer for keeping the air circulating, especially on those hot days.

Wow Emily you write just like the AI bot we studied in my English classes. Welcome to the forum. Lol

we took off down the oregon coast for 5 days every thing went great planning a utah trip next.

I drove 430 miles from BC to Spokane, WA to pick up my new 145RB Baja. We finished all the paperwork and it was mine but the walk through couldn't be done until the next day. CW was kind enough to let me stay in one of their parking lot "camp sites". It had power and water and I had propane which was good since it was the end of October and dropping to freezing at night.
Always prepared, I had brought a nice duvet with me so I was good for the night. I ran down the road and got a few beers and some grub that I was eager to nuke in my newly acquired luxury of a microwave. Far from the nicest place I'd ever camped but I had what I needed.

Sipping a brew and chowing down on a hot meal, I surveyed my new domain. I had everything; fridge, stove, microwave, hot water, bathroom, stereo, and a warm comfortable bed. My only regret was that my wife didn't get to spend the first night in the new palace. It was a tiny trailer; our first commercially made camper and it seemed to be everything we needed.

That first night was magical and though we have upgraded, the feeling is the same every time we pack up and get away. The feeling of "how cool is this?" has never left us.

The First outing was late in the season. We bought a Feather hybrid 19F with canvas ends. The temperature got really cold. Probably in the 30s. Heater never came on. Who knew that it had an ON/OFF Switch. Which I found the next morning. Who puts an ON/OFF switch on a Heater? Should it be always on? The canvas does not make a good cold or sound barrier. That is another story. WE now have a non-hybrid Jayco Flight.
My Wife and Son gave up and went to our truck to get warm. She will always remind me of that one little mistake. Mike Dickinson

The first thing was not call my insurance agent, because I called them on the way to purchase the camper. We booked a campground stay in a KOA about 20 miles from home for two night shake down cruise. We had never had a Jayco until this class C. Previously we had a Starcraft pop up for 17 years. It was a beast. we loved it and took it all over the country. Next was a forest river 34' bumper pull. it was a monster. When we bought this Jayco I grabbed a notepad to start my list of problems. we never filled up the first page and the few items we had Blue Compass took care of for us after that first trip.
