First time TT buyer. Husband and I are looking at a 2008 Eagle 322FKS,well kept, wondering if 17,000 is a good price?

NADA shows these prices: list $32,829, low retail $15,160, and average retail $18,270. The unit probably is about due for new tires, check the date code on the tires. 5-7 years is about the life of a trailer tire. The tires on the unit probably were made in 2007. Tires can look very good and still need replacing. Also check for any signs of water. Water leaks can be expensive to repair. Also check the roof carefully, especially the caulking. Does the price include a good hitch with sway control and a brake controller if you don't already have one? Have fun.

Welcome to the JOF RobnMing! Also, if you can get the VIN number, call Jayco direct and ask for the warranty history on the unit (what warranty work the owner had done). It may be nice to know if there were any serious issues dealt with. Happy shopping and let us know how it goes :)

Search the web for similar models on sale around the US: then you will have a better idea if it is what you want to pay. I found what I wanted and then checked around before offering less than the asking price and it was quickly accepted.

You might do a bit more research before you plunk your dollars down.
Go down to any dealer and talk with them, if a salesman is push tell them to take a hike, there are plenty of good non-pushy ones that will help you.

Welcome to the forum. We owned a 322FKS and really liked the unit. Ours was a 2010 model year. One note of caution, it is a lot of TT and you will need 3/4 ton as minimum.
