Time to pass on My Mods

I'm going to need a ladder for our bunk next season. Where did you get this ladder?
I built the ladder from oak trim/boards that were correct thickness/width. Just need a miter saw to cut pieces to length. I got the wood at local Home Depot. Look on pg 3 of this string of posts as I provided some basic plans on the parts to cut.

I wonder if you might be able to share a picture of the “hooks”. Ideally a photo of the screen attached from the inside? I love this ideA

For the sides connecting to the trailer I just have spring-cord in the side panel edge that hooks into the awning track at the top and onto a screw under the trailer at the bottom. spring cord is plastic covered metal with a bit of stretch but is fairly solid- get it at fabric stores for hanging curtains. I originally had some command hooks stuck to the trailer side hat I twisted the spring cord through but they didn't handle the weather well and weren't really necessary. hope that helps. pictures I have don't show this well.

My 2021 mods

A few more mods this year...... 1st was to add an extra roof vent in the middle of the living space as the only other vent is in the bathroom. This helps with the hot weather air circulation and better moisture from cataytic heater in cold weather. There is an add-on inside cover that connects to the multi-level V clips you can see in the picture. This cover blocksthe sun but still leaves a small gap for circulation.

More 2021 Mods

Not really a Mod but worth mentioning anyway. The front of the trailer takes a beating from bugs, rocks, sunshine and scrubbing off road grime, so the decals were looking pretty bad. We removed the decals and gave it a good cleaning/polish then added new decals. Almost looks new again!!

Final 2021 Mod

So this was the big change for 2021. The previous screen room had good 12yr life but was getting a bit worn-out so used some spare time in the Spring to make a few one. This one has poles in the corners to give it shape and hold it tight to the trailer. We have clear vinyl panels that velcro over the screens if the weather is wet/cold. (A propane lantern keeps it nice an cozy). Also have privacy/sunshade window covers that velcro over the screens or windows. There is a skirt along the trailer side that attaches via some "awning rail" (keder) screwed in to the trailer underside. The awning goes right over the hot water heater so had to add a piece of high-temperature fabric to go around that point. Overall very happy with the project and has provided a nice refuge from weather/bugs. This one is also quickly removed (<1min) if the wind comes up - but found that it manages a wind fairly well as the front is all pegged down and connects to the awning roller securely.
