Trying to decide whether or not to purchase a cover. We live in an area that gets into the low 100's during the summer and is known to be consistently breezy. Our service center told me that a cover will wear the paint away at all the corners - particularly the front cap. After owning travel trailers that deteriorated so quickly in the sun, I'm hesitant to leave the thing uncovered. I had a cover on one of our trailers and never noticed any damage from it, but it wasn't painted. Anybody have experience with covers causing this kind of damage?

Based on your avatar it appears you have a painted MH, that will make a huge difference in sun protection. The painted surface is the same as a car, it has a clear coat. I have never used a cover, but as you were told have seen units with "rub" areas from covers and wind.
