Been noticing that the toilet bowl hasn’t been hold water. There no water leaking on the floor. I hoping that the rubber gasket above the ball is just old and needs replaced. Does anyone know how to find the model number of my toilet so I can order a replacement gasket? I have a 2018 Jayflight 24RBS.

Thanks for any advice.

Already tried cleaning around it
Could also just be some TP or ---- stuck in the seal. Gingerly run a stiff wire around the seal and see if that helps. I always used a piece of coat hangar.

This maybe be considered gross but a man's hand/fingers are his best feeling tools :(
If you have some of those thin disposable gloves great...after you've given it the initial clean, rub your fingers around all areas that seal and feel for anything rough...use a small gritty sponge and give everywhere a good scrub...wipe it dry and rub a little vaseline on sealing areas. Worth a try, just wash your hands good :)

Flush your tank thoroughly, to keep the smell down while you're doing the following- Pop out the gasket (don't drop it in the tank!), clean it or replace it with a new one, also clean the flapper that it seals against. They can get gunked up with calcium, etc, and cause it to leak. Put some kind of conditioner on the seal, put it back together, and you'll be good to go for another year or so.

A couple of pictures of your toilet would help identify it. What Jayco installed may have depended on the supply chain at the time.

If it's the same one in a friends 24RBS (same year), it probably is a Thetford Aqua Magic Style II if it looks like this one.

Thanks. Going to try and pick up one when we move tomorrow. There a camping world close by. I know I really don’t like camping world but if they have part why not.

Yes, that looks exactly like our Thetford Aqua Magic Style II.

If an attempt to clean the seal and ball surfaces doesn't work, Amazon has all kinds of replacement parts kits for it, along with your dealer. We removed ours a few years ago for a ball seal replacement, and it resolved our issue. Two mounting nuts and the waterline disconnected, and it lifts right out. A rag over the pipe in the floor, and the rest is easy following the included instructions. The kit includes a new floor seal also.

Here's the seal kit we used:

Beware of the knockoffs that are cheaper. They may not be of the same quality.

I use SuperLube Silicone Lubricating grease on all of my O-rings to keep the seals working. Like Glamper 64 it's easy to wear a rubber glove and lube the toilets seal. I also use it on the waste tank dump valve seals, both inner and outer, as well as the shaft arm. Allows for the blade to move easier by keeping everything moving freely and maintains the seals. Of course this is after emptying and rinsing out your tank. I do it after pulling my rig out of storage and before putting it away for the winter.

Thanks everyone for all your help. I used a lite scrubbing pad to clean the seal then use silicone grease. It’s holding water now. When I get home I’m going to change out the seal. Why take any chances.

Once again thanks. This is a great forum.

Good idea to put a new one in. Using coarse abrasives on the seal lip can scratch it and let it leak by, but being gentle with the right cleaner might just be what you needed. Not the most pleasant task, but sometimes necessary.
